May 4 (UPI) -- Nearly half of cryptocurrency holders store most of their bitcoins in hardware wallets and keep backups of their private keys on a piece of paper, according to a recent Reddit survey. Reddit user Gunnaj posted the findings to Reddit on April 30 as part of his doctoral thesis. The PhD student asked 339 people five questions about Bitcoin security, focusing on how cryptocurrency holders handle their private keys.
